I realize that I do take a lot of photos of Eastern Bluebirds but I have to say that they are my favorite bird and one of my favorite photo subjects.
This little female was so busy. I enjoyed watching her and her mate feed their young one afternoon. I lost count on how many trips they made in and out of the box with bugs feeding the little birds inside.
She would set and flop her wings and make a sweet little sound sometimes when she would return to the box.
I am not sure if she was trying to get the attention of her mate or what she was doing.
She returned with this bee. I found it strange that they would catch a bee.
The male returned many times with bugs, this time with a cricket.
Down to the box he flew with a grasshopper.
Such busy little birds this time of the year.
